Through workshops, leadership retreats, and various types of speaking engagements, we help Leaders make equity-centered decisions for their own leadership and ultimately, for the intentional impact they will have on their people.

We focus on leadership development as a major contribution to employee engagement and retention.

Provided as a one-time engagement or retained as a series of engagements, these are offered as fee-based services.

Executive Partnerships

We serve as active external partners to HR Leaders, Leadership Teams, and Executives in the absence of HR leadership.

We provide thought partnership and strategic guidance that is both people and equity centered, specifically related to your end-to-end employment life cycle and talent acquisition.

Our executive partnerships are based on ongoing relationships with Leaders and are offered as retainer-based services.

Affirma was instrumental

Affirma was instrumental in bridging the gap between the Executive Team and the Director level leadership team that had formed before my time with the company, as well as making us all aware of our professional and personal differences and how to respect the differences while still forging positive and effective working relationships.

They helped us to recognize and eliminate biases, understand our various DISC profiles, learn to communicate better and more effectively, and most importantly learn to listen to one another in a caring and compassionate way. Leadership Coaching

Our coaching practice helps Leaders find a better balance between their own empowerment and accountability and ultimately, that of their team members.

Our individual leadership coaching practice supports executive leaders as they go deeper into their personal and professional development. In a collective setting, we coach emerging leaders such as front line managers and newly promoted managers who are looking for development with their peer community.

Coaching sessions require self-investment and engagement and as such are offered as commitment-based services.

Possibility-Driven Decision Making

We’ll examine our default decision-making methods. We’ll learn when to defy our defaults and how to make room for possibility so that we can solve our people problems more creatively.

Leader as Coach

Leaders will explore the art of coaching for consideration as a leadership style. Using bonafide coaching strategies, leaders will experience through role-play the difference this approach can have during moments of conflict, problem-solving, and change.

Collaborative Leadership

We’ll explore the arrangements of peer leadership and leadership teams in the context of visible healthy, productive relationships. We’ll dive into the impact that collaborative leadership has on employee engagement and retention.

Balancing Empowerment and Accountability

We’ll address the balancing act of leadership – empowering our people while holding them accountable. This balance directly supports setting expectations, managing performance, and rewarding success.

The Making of Leaders

We’ll reflect on the impact that past and current leaders have had on us individually. We’ll audit our own leadership styles and approaches to uncover the impact we are having on the career development of future leaders within our fold.

Centering Equity: Addressing Neurological Core Needs

We’ll introduce the human social behavior framework, BICEPS, coined by Paloma Medina. We’ll learn to acknowledge our own BICEPS and apply the framework to address real-time workplace challenges with equity-centered leadership.

Owning the Responsibility of Leadership

We’ll explore the opportunity and duty that rests with Leaders. Diving deeper into the expansive impact workplace leadership has on the lives and livelihoods of the people in the workforce.

Beyond Management: Humanizing Leadership

In this beginning session, we’ll explore the most crucial commonality that all Leaders share despite industry, classification, experience, or expertise – their own humanity. We start with this exploration for learning how to lead with vulnerability, lead through fear, and lead by recognizing the humanity of all.

Our cohort coaching method which focuses on energy leadership will be introduced in this session to be continued throughout the program.
